Beef and halloumi skewers with pita bread and tzatziki

Serves 6  

You will need 6 Wooden skewers ( Note- soak your wooden skewers the night before to avoid them from burning)  


  • 500g Our Farm diced angus beef 
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) extra virgin olive  
  • 1 tbs dried oregano  
  • 1 tbs paprika  
  • 500g halloumi cut into 12 pieces 
  • 200g tzatziki   
  • 6x pita bread  
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced  
  • 1 cup parsley, leaves picked  
  • 250g cherry tomatoes, halved  
  • 1 cup lettuces leaves  
  • Lemon wedge to serve  


Step 1

Preheat a BBQ or chargrill pan to medium high heat.  

In a non reactive bowl place the beef, oil, oregano and paprika. Season with salt flakes and cracked pepper and allow to marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes.  

Step 2

Place 3 pieces of beef and 2 pieces of halloumi onto the skewer.  

Step 3

Cook skewers for 5-6 minutes on each side or until beef is cooked.  

Step 4

To serve grill pita bread on the BBQ for 1-2 minutes on each side. Top pita bread with tzataiki, beef and halloumi skewers followed by the onion, parsley, tomato, lettuces and lemon wedge.
